Planet Pulse: Monkey Edition is a National Geographic inspired editorial magazine dedicated to exploring the world of monkeys through immersive visuals and informative storytelling. For this project, I was tasked with creating an original magazine concept from start to finish, including layout design, typography, visual hierarchy, and content development.
Drawing inspiration from documentary-style publications, I designed expansive layouts that balance bold imagery with structured, readable text. The magazine explores monkey behavior, habitats, global distribution, and their evolutionary connection to humans. Large-scale photography of monkeys climbing, interacting, and engaging in social behaviors drives the visual narrative, while carefully structured typography supports the educational content.
My goal was to create a visually engaging and informative publication that feels professional yet personal—combining my love for animals with strong editorial design principles. This project reflects my ability to create cohesive layouts, manage large bodies of text, and maintain visual consistency across multiple spreads.
